Kalynda Chase is celebrating it’s 10th birthday this year, pushing through another major milestone to become home to more than 3,000 residents. The development created by Urbex and the Lancini Group has sold 1047 lots in the past decade, with just 200 lots left for final completion.

Urbex Development Manager David Argent said the Kalynda Chase community continued to grow and flourish with more than 95% of buyers owner-occupiers.

“There is a quiet feel to Kalynda Chase, which is emphasized by the 28ha of open space and recreational nodes which weaves its way through the development. “The nice thing about this suburb is, it is a destination unto itself and with the addition of the new Ring Road, there is now fantastic, fast access to amenities but no increase in traffic. “The residents here also take great pride in their environment and it makes for a very stable and neighbourly environment.”

Kalynda Chase has been a popular address for local hospital workers and families. The Tennis Centre has also been a draw card and is home to the winners of the North Queensland Tennis League, the Kalynda Chase Cavaliers. Jason and Charlotte Barbagallo own the local convenience store and were one of the first families to move into Kalynda Chase.

“I think we were one of the first five residents and have enjoyed seeing the area grow and become a safe, happy community,” said Jason. “It’s been a very convenient location for us. Our business KC Convenience & Fish and Chips has thrived and when we moved in our daughter was just 1, she turns 10 next week.”

Kalynda Chase includes a total land area of 161 hectares and is scheduled for completion in 2019. The project started in 2005 and has an end value of $257million. The current land release called Beefwood includes a new range of affordable land lots which start from $118,000 for 325sqm.
